An essential component in building a chain link fence, this steel line rail clamp is extremely durable and used to connect two horizontal rails to the same fence post. Also known as the boulevard clamp, it is commonly used in building cyclone fences, dog kennels, sports fences, greenhouses—basically any kind of fence requiring mid and bottom bracing.
Attaching the 1-5/8" x 1-5/8" Steel Line Rail Clamp is simple. The large, central gap formed when both pieces of the clamp are put together is designed to enclose around a chain link fence post. Secure the clamp in place with nuts and bolts (sold separately). The line rails, in turn, are held by the tube-shaped "arms" of the clamp, the whole forming a 4-way crossing.
This rail clamp is composed of rust-resistant, galvanized steel. This resilience to corroding effects makes this chain link fence fitting especially handy when building outdoor sports fencing. After all, sports fences are constantly exposed to the elements—including rain and snow—and regularly touched by sports players as well as onlooking crowds. Rust resistance increases the safety of this fence.

How the part fits? The clamp consists of two galvanized steel pieces that sandwich one vertical post and two horizontal rails in a 4-way intersection or “plus sign” formation.
Where is it installed? Line rail clamps can be used to secure a bottom rail or mid-rail to a chain link fence. Commonly you will see line rail clamps used on backstops/baseball field fencing, tennis court fencing, greenhouse frames, and outdoor dog kennels.
How many do you need? Each clamp consists of two pieces that together sandwich one joint. Typically you will need one clamp at each crossing of post and rail.
Fits 1-5/8” outside diameter post and 1-5/8" outside diameter rail; .54lbs.
Placing one piece of the clamp on either side of the cross-section, secure the clamp in place using two nuts/bolts (sold separately, Part 11174) for added strength and stability to your fencing project.
