When constructing a black vinyl chain link fence, you’ll need sturdy yet flexible wire ties to fully secure the attachment of the mesh to your frame. Even with the installation of tension bars and bands, there’ll remain a few points where the mesh can be peeled back—even if just a little bit—from the frame. From this comes opportunities for small animals and children to potentially squeeze through, and intruders might exploit this as a weakness in the fence. So how do these wire ties solve the problem? First, grip a knuckle along the edge of the mesh using the pre-fabricated hook in the wire tie. Pinch the hook together for utmost strength. Now wrap the tie’s tail around the adjacent post or rail. Secure what’s left of the tail by coiling it around a wire in the mesh. Because they’re coated with black vinyl, these ties are extremely rust-resistant. This product consists of two bags, each containing 100 wire ties—so, 200 total! These ties work best with 1-5/8” and 2” rails/posts.
