Terminals caps are an essential component in not only completing the look of your chain link fence but also improving safety. Because chain link fence posts are hollow, the round edges can sometimes be sharp, risking accidental cuts when handled. So when you cover up these gaps, you not only make your fence look and feel complete, you also reduce the odds of injuries when people interact with it. Another reason to cover these gaps is to preserve the integrity of your fence posts. Having opened ends means that, over time, your fence posts could become filled with debris and precipitation.

This 6-5/8" Black Steel Terminal Cap has been fashioned from rust resistant steel, painted black to match the aesthetic of black vinyl chain link fencing. A domed shape and rounded edges allows for safer handling of this piece—before and after installation. The installation process itself is simple. Place the Black Steel Terminal Cap over the open rim of the the terminal post's top and press it into place. If needed, you can use a rubber mallet to gently work it into place.

Details

How the part fits? The cap slips over the top of the corner, gate, or end post to hide any sharp post edges and protect from water damage.

Where is it installed? The cap is installed on top of the exposed terminal post.

How many do you need? One cap is required for each terminal post.

Instructions

Place the cap over the exposed edge of the post. The cap should fit tightly around the rim of the post. You may use a rubber mallet to ensure the cap is secured firmly in place.
