The 1-5/8” Black End Band [14 Gauge], also known as a brace band, is an important and essential part of assembling black vinyl chain link fencing. Sturdy and versatile, its primary function is to securely connect horizontal rails to terminal posts. (Terminal posts include corner posts, end posts, and gate posts.) This chain link fence panel is very easy to install. First, make sure all of your terminal posts are fitted with tension bands. Slide the 1-5/8” Black End Band over the post adjacent to the end of the rail. Finally, secure the rail end between the band’s tangs using a carriage bolt (sold separately).

This end band is made of beautiful black vinyl, making it an elegant fitting for your chain link fence.

  • Also great for gate frames
  • Fits 1-5/8” outside diameter pipes
  • Black vinyl coating
  • Nut and bolt not included, part 11170B

How the part fits? The end band couples around the gate post, corner post, and end post to connect top, bottom, or mid-rails, barb arms/barbed wire, tension wire, and more.

Where is it installed? The end band fits on the gate, corner, or end post. The band can be placed on the upper, middle, or lower part of the post depending on the use.

How many do you need?  To attach the top rail, you will need at least (1) end band per termination of fence. For every full stretch of fabric, you will need (2) end bands for your (2) terminal posts. This rule is also true for bottom or mid rail, tension wire, barbed wire, or other use.

1-5/8" OD post size, .14lbs

When using the end band for top rail, end bands should be installed after you install your tensions bands. Your end band will slide over your terminal post adjacent to your rail end. You will then slide your rail end in between the tangs of the end band and place a 5/16” x 1-1/4” carriage bolt (part 11170B, not included) through the band and rail end and tighten the nut.
