In applying the finishing touches to a chain link fence, terminal caps are a must have. Because terminal posts for this fence type are hollow, the posts have openings with edges that pose risks to both the integrity of the fence and the safety of people interacting with it. The edges can become sharp, risking accidental cuts, especially to children climbing the fence. Wide openings also allow rain, moisture, detritus, etc. to get wedged inside the posts, thereby compromising their integrity.

The 2-1/2" Black Aluminum Terminal Cap is designed to cover the openings of end, corner, and gate posts. Easy to install: simply press over the opening until the cap's in place. You can use a rubber mallet to gently hammer the cap into place if it's not fitting easily. The cap is made of lightweight aluminum and is rust resistant. It is painted black to fit the aesthetic of black vinyl chain link fencing.

Details

How the part fits? The cap slips over the top of the corner, gate, or end post to hide any sharp post edges and protect from water damage.

Where is it installed? The cap is installed on top of the exposed terminal post.

How many do you need? One cap is required for each terminal post.

How To

Place the cap over the exposed edge of the post. The cap should fit tightly around the rim of the post. You may use a rubber mallet to ensure the cap is secured firmly in place.
