Also known as brace bands, these rust-resistant fittings, designed for chain link fence installations, are used to attach horizontal rails to your fence’s terminal posts (which includes end posts and gate posts). Before installing end bands, make sure your fence has been fitted with tension bands. To install, slip the end band’s brace over the terminal post adjacent to the rail end. Next, slide the looped opening in the rail end between the end band’s tangs so that all three holes line up. Finally, use a 5/16” x 1-1/4” carriage bolt (sold separately) to secure.

As mentioned above, these end bands are extremely rust-resistant, as they are made of galvanized steel. This adds to the security and longevity of your chain link fence.

Details

How the part fits? A 2-1/2” end bands are designed to go over 2-1/2” terminal posts.

Where is it installed? A 2-1/2” end band is installed to support the rail end at the top of the fence. The 2-1/2” end band will be placed adjacent to the rail end on the 2-1/2” terminal post.

How many do you need? You will need (1) 2-1/2” end band per termination of fence. For every full stretch of fabric, you will need (2) end bands for your (2) terminal posts.

Instructions

2-1/2” end bands should be installed after you install your tensions bands. Your end band will slide over your 2-1/2” terminal post adjacent to your rail end. You will then slide your rail end in between the tangs of the end band and place a 5/16” x 1-1/4” carriage bolt through the band and rail end and tighten the nut.
