Chain link fencing requires sturdy accessories in order to secure the fabric to the framework—otherwise it becomes easy for intruders and animals to lift the loose fabric and crawl under. This 3" Square Tension Band's [14 Gauge] designed and engineered specifically for attaching fabric to end posts, corner posts, and gate posts. Used in conjunction with tension rods, it helps tighten the chain link and can also be used for securing truss rod tighteners, rail caps, and barbed wire.
As revealed in the name, this tension band's square in shape and therefore an ideal fitting for ornamental fences. What's more, it's been fabricated from galvanized steel for superior rust resistance. Built to last, it resists corrosion: an ideal quality for outdoor fencing. Attach this band using a carriage nut and bolt (sold separately).
- Made for 3” posts
- Carriage nut and bolt not included, part #11170
- Steel construction; galvanized
How the part fits? 3”square tension band is designed to fit around a 3” square terminal post.
Where is it installed? 3” square tension band is installed by sliding over the 3” square terminal post once the post is set. Tension bands will be evenly placed on each terminal post.
How many do you need? You will need 3” tension bands for every stretch of fence. The amount of tension bands you will need per square terminal post is 1 less than the height of the fence. For example, if you have a 4’ fence you will need (3) 3” square tension bands per terminal post. There are two exceptions, if you have a 3’ or 3-1/2’ fence, you will need (3) 3” square tension bands. For a full stretch of fence from terminal post to terminal post, you will need double the amount. Ex: For a stretch 4’ fence you will need (6) total 3” square tension bands.
3" post size,.16lbs
A 3” square tension band is installed by sliding it over the 3” square terminal post once the post is set. You will need to space the 3” square tension bands evenly on the square terminal post. Then you will slide the 5/16” x 1-1/4” bolt through the tangs and tighten the nut.
