The great city of Sioux City is getting bigger and bigger, and due to this fact has outgrown its Convention Center and needs more venue options. Kinseth Hospitality Co. has an ongoing project top open a five-story Courtyard by Marriot hotel that will be next door to the convention center. Along with construction of the new hotel, there will also be renovations of the Convention Center and the addition of a second-story parking deck.

The hotel will offer a 7,500 square foot ballroom, full-service facilities, outdoor seating, 150 rooms and top-notch technology and amenities. The ballroom will be shared by both the hotel and the convention center, and will be a great choice for upscale events such as galas and weddings.

By updating the convention center and creating more lodging with the hotel, the intent is to attract more events and people from out of town to the Convention center that will then help bring more money into the Sioux City economy and help the area continue to grow. The updated Convention Center will attract more large, high-scale events and the hotel will ensure there is enough room to support a larger crowd while also providing supporting space and amenities to the Convention Center.
