2-1/2" x 1-5/8" Line Rail Clamp
The American Fence Company
An essential component in the building of a chain link fence, the line rail clamp is used to connect two horizontal fence rails to a vertical fence post. Rail clamps are especially important for backstops, tennis court fences, baseball field fences, greenhouses, dog kennels—anything that requires bottom and mid bracing.
This 2-1/2" x 1-5/8" Line Rail Clamp is made of two pieces of galvanized steel, which are secured to the chain link fence post and railings via nuts and bolts (sold separately). Attach the clamp to the post through the large, central gap formed when you bring the two clamp pieces together. The line rails themselves are held in place via the clamp's tubular "arms."
As mentioned, this rail clamp is composed of galvanized steel, which imbues it with superior rust resistance. Resilience of this kind is important for sports fencing, which must be able to withstand weather changes throughout the year. For instance, you don't want your fence rusting after each seasonal rain. This compromises the strength and longevity of your fence and also poses potential health risks to players and spectators.
